Strategy for the binary options broker Quotex - Keltner Channel
The described strategy is based on the Keltner channels. The indicator is an envelope of moving averages formed on the basis of the EMA and dependent on the volatility of the currency pair. Externally, the indicator resembles the Bollinger Bands, but instead of deviation it uses the ATR parameter - the average true range. It shows more accurate trading signals and can be used as an independent tool for finding entry points. This idea was invented back in 1980, but it is still relevant today.
Setting up indicators on the Quotex broker platform
When setting up the indicator, you can leave the default settings:
- EMA period: 20;
- ATR period: 10;
- Multiplier: 1.
Experienced traders recommend trading on the short time frames, preferably on the 5-minutes one. The optimal expiration time is 15 minutes, i.e. 3 candlesticks.
Conditions for entering a trade on the Quotex broker platform
To open a trade, it is enough to fulfill one condition.
- A CALL option is purchased after the price broke the upper level of the Keltner channel.
The signal for purchasing a PUT option is when the price broke the lower level of the Keltner channel
Entry into a trade is at the opening of the next candlestick. To get profit, you need to wait for the bar to close above/below the line.
